Old people's home in Titting

For 42 old people in this home, the building itself or even a single room is now the extent of their environment and sphere of movement, and, as such, it has an obligation to expand rather than restrict their lifestyle. Living areas should allow for individual expression and possibilities for social contact. Bed-ridden patients are not shut in 'cells', but can still keep contact with those in the communal areas. Balconies are shared by two people; sliding panels allow for privacy when required. Living rooms, each for 4 inhabitants, are set back, but open to the communal circulation areas.
