Before revitalization, the Via Julia shared the lot of most inner city spaces: that of an incoherent, unorganized street with fast-flowing traffic and a jumble of parked cars. The revival not only enhanced the quality of the urban environment, but greatly improved the life and appearance of that entire part of the city.
