Bank Building in Isen - Main Staircase in Granite

Rapidly expanding business led to a design competition in 1979 for the "Conversion and Extension of the Raiffeisen-Volksbank Isen." The new building was to be functionally integrated with the existing structure. A main vertical access point was required for both sections. The stair tower at the covered entrance to the banking hall forms the transition between old and new, mediating between the two building sections through its verticality. The central banking hall, which extends to the upper floor and up to the glass roof, forms the heart of the bank.
