The Hong Kong Bank
The new headquarters of the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation, or Hongkong Bank for short, was officially inaugurated in April 1986. The twelve floors of the bank's main hall had already been opened in July 1985, exactly on schedule, four years after the old building had been demolished. Since then, more than 3,500 employees have moved into the 47-storey building, which, together with its four underground levels, reaches a height of approximately 200 metres.
