Jönköping is a hub for bus and rail services. The station building for the Swedish State Railways is located near Lake Vättern. A pedestrian bridge leads from the city to the upper floor of the station building. Stairs and an elevator descend to the waiting room and platform level. A cafeteria is located on the gallery above the waiting room. Three large dormer windows offer views across the lake from here.
