This commercial building demonstrates that it is possible to utilize the advantages and qualities of industrial, technical steel construction even with a very small building footprint. The building was designed and constructed for a company that trades in dental products. Inside, a freestanding, two-storey racking system with semi-automated loading was installed, requiring a column-free hall measuring 30 x 30 metres. Office and social areas were added only above the loading zone. The building structure consists of two steel tube pylons on each of the four exterior sides, from which the roof purlins are suspended by tension cables to the central square of the hall.
