For this detached house, a cube was enclosed by 16 columns and corresponding beams. In contrast to the main frame, the roof trusses are positioned diagonally. The skylight of the resulting pyramid creates a precise concentricity, which, however, gradually "breaks down" from the open top floor, through the semi-open bedroom level, to the heavily enclosed entrance floor. The cool overall concept is enriched not only by spatial variations but also by plays in the exterior, such as recesses in the verandas and projections for bay windows. Between the dappled shadows of the verandas and the cast shadows of the bay windows, the white-painted steel frame remains legible as the primary design element. White and light grey are important to ensure compatibility with the green surroundings of the overgrown neighboring gardens, meadows, and woods.
