The appearance of the town hall is defined by its roof structure. This is divided into a lower section of roofs on the old town side and a higher section on the side facing the city moat. The dividing line between the two roof surfaces lies above the old city wall, which now forms the partition between the hall and the foyer. The original element of the defensive fortifications and shielding has acquired a new, unifying function through the building's extension. Construction: The roof structure consists of a large supporting frame spanning the main hall, one section of the foyer, and the stage, as well as a smaller supporting frame above the small hall, the second foyer section, the kitchen, and a conference room.
