State Credit Bank in Karlsruhe
The eight blocks of buildings on Karlsruhe's Schlossplatz were originally designed with two stories, simple, modest, almost like sepals for Karlsruhe Palace, which radiates in all directions. Now, all the new or reconstructed buildings in the blocks have three stories; the very attractive current Regional Council building, designed by Hübsch and located at the eastern end of the square, originally had a three-storey central section.
