New Door in the Rococo Portal of the Schaffhausen Cantonal Bank
As in the early 1930s, the bank again had the courage in 1984 to agree to a contemporary, clear solution for the new bank building. Always supported and encouraged by the city architect and the heritage preservation officer, the bank became aware of its responsibility to the public, to assume and continue the commitment of previous generations to a carefully designed environment and an attractive cityscape. The deposit office of the Schaffhausen Cantonal Bank was originally built in 1934/35 by C. Werner, a renowned Schaffhausen architect.
