Entrance Door to the Multi-family House, Energy-saving House, Berlin
The front door is the calling card of a building. In social housing, there is little room for detailed suggestions that deviate from the norm. The doorway of the energy-efficient house on Lützowufer in Berlin is framed in granite. The door frame is constructed of steel angle profiles painted rust-red. The narrow glass panels on either side of the door and in the gable are framed with pearwood strips, and the door leaf itself is also made of pearwood. The viewing window is set in a square grid and bordered by a curved line.
