Overhaul of a House in Lucerne

The transformation of a suburban villa from the interwar period into a geometrically structured living space has yielded interesting architectural insights. The houses of the 1930s were characterized by a sun-oriented living area with a "garden view" and a series of circulation routes and service rooms (including the kitchen!) on the shady side. This one-sided, primitive functionalism had to be broken. The renovation concept had to be comprehensive. The legally accepted and already integrated two-storey exterior with its brick gable roof and most of the floors remained from the original building, but practically no interior walls.
