Small, leftover plots of land are not uncommon in cities and suburbs, but their potential development is often overlooked during rapid planning. In this case, the neighboring property owner's right to build closer to the property line had to be invoked for the expansion of an underground parking garage on the valley side. The affected neighbor seized the opportunity to use the wedge-shaped remaining plot between the two garage levels for residential purposes and to transform the unsightly slope into a pleasant garden. A four-metre-long entrance courtyard, a ten-metre-deep living area, and an eight-metre-long garden pavilion are grouped along a central axis.
