Market Hall at Schrannenplatz in Neuburg an Der Donau

The market hall and Schrannenplatz are part of the redevelopment of the Lower Old Town, which, following a planning assessment in 1977, has now been completed with the design of Spitalplatz and the connecting path to Schrannenplatz. There was agreement on the necessity of a southern boundary for the square, which had to accommodate the access road and technical equipment of the underground parking garage (which also served as a shelter), but not on its use. The following were discussed: a town hall, a library, a museum, a savings bank, and an office building with medical practices.
