Theatre Pavilion, Württemberg State Theatre Stuttgart
The central building concept for the theatre pavilion at the Württemberg State Theatre in Stuttgart originated from the competition entry submitted in 1981 for the redesign of the main auditorium. In the following years, the plan for a domed structure was developed, offering a composition of independent forms that harmonize with each other and with the well-ordered surroundings. The two-storey freestanding building is positioned within the courtyard of the theatre complex. Accessed from two foyers of the main building, the pavilion houses the circular buffet on its lower level.
