Workshop for Disabled People in Auhof near Hilpoltstein
Within the tiered rehabilitation system, the workshop for people with disabilities – an institution of the Rummelsberg Institutions of the Inner Mission – has a two-pronged mission. Firstly, through its training and support programs and accompanying services, it offers even those with severe disabilities opportunities for vocational development and social advancement. Secondly, in its production area, it provides people with disabilities who are capable of working but currently unable to find employment due to the consequences of their disabilities with the opportunity to contribute to securing their own livelihood through economically viable, appropriately paid work, thereby becoming independent of welfare assistance.
