Housing and Commercial Development in München-Haidhausen
Access: The building is accessed vertically via two stairwells, which are founded next to the S-Bahn (suburban railway) and also serve as structural anchor points. All apartments on each floor are connected via open walkways. The structurally necessary elements are also intended to define the form. Therefore, the timber framing of the facade (unfortunately not the structural system due to fire safety regulations) is exposed and infilled with plaster-like facade panels made of acrylic concrete (lightweight construction – dry construction method, short construction times – cost-effectiveness).
