Parliament Building Stockholm
We developed a proposal for a vertical extension above the old Bank of Sweden building. Initially, we worked on a solution that would have involved a rather radical change to the internal organization of the bank building, with consequences for the foundations, the load-bearing structure, and also the urban landscape. Quite late in the competition, we discovered a solution that was based on the existing foundations and created a better connection between the old and new structures.
