Bekkefaret Church, Stavanger/N
The building is divided into two components: A steel structure on a square base covers the church nave, community hall, and confirmation room, forming a sequence of spaces that creates a kind of inner church square. These spaces are largely separated only by folding walls. The exterior brick walls do not follow the roofline. They enclose the church nave and create covered areas in front of the entrances. This inner zone is shielded from the busy street by a low, angled building wing containing the ancillary rooms.
