In the 1960s, a publisher had a holiday home built on the high bank of the Glonn Valley. The floor plan is based on a four-part square with sides approximately eight metres long. The thick chimney marks the centre, around which the four quarters of the square spiral counterclockwise, each increasing by 75 cm. The uppermost level rises one story above the first, which is at ground level. This creates five main areas: one for the entrance with a guest room and its associated utilities, the second for living, the third for cooking and dining, the fourth for children and the bathroom, and the fifth, a gallery overlooking the second, for the parents. The entire space is open to the triangular space of the gable roof truss. Only the bathroom is enclosed.
