Conversion of a Shoe Store in Hamburg
The task of giving the Görtz flagship store on Spitalerstrasse a new look through a comprehensive renovation was a particular challenge. The task was highly complex: nine different product groups had to be presented clearly and innovatively within a single building, each distinct from the others, yet all together as a cohesive whole. This had to be achieved in a building that had lost much of its original character due to war and numerous alterations, and was situated on a street already disfigured by countless interventions and aggressive advertising.
