Temporary Shop in Melbourne

Crystalline forms and gently rolling landscapes inspired the architects to create this ephemeral stage set to showcase a women’s clothing collection in Melbourne, Australia. For the implementation of the design, the architects transformed an everyday item of women’s clothing into a form of decoration: 154 pairs of stockings were employed. Distributed every which way throughout the entire space, they were stretched, wrapped, and stapled to bring this unique setting – which is reminiscent of a spider web – to life. In deference to the designer collection on display, the colours of the stockings were neutral and demure. This extravagant installation was in existence a mere three days.
