At the client's request, the new building was to form a symbiosis of tradition and innovation, respecting both past and present aesthetic values. In this sense, it corresponds to the character of the academy, which is dedicated to the study of the past, present, and future. The building stands atop a hill, and although of considerable size, it retains the character of a large house or country estate, where every room offers views of the surrounding gardens. It is conceived as a place for encounters and intellectual exchange among the members of the 200-year-old institution.
