Conference Room at the FAO in Rome
The renovation was carried out taking into account the need to avoid significant alterations to the existing building structure and air conditioning systems. The interpreter booths were expanded. There are three booths on each of the two long sides of the room, with two or three interpreter positions respectively. The simultaneous interpretation system for conferences has eight channels, seven of which are language channels. The conference room, excluding adjoining rooms, measures 10.70 x 13.70 m, with a ceiling height of 3.00 m along the long sides and 4.00 m in the centre.
