Foyer of the Schauspielhaus Zürich/CH
In connection with the extensive renovation of the Schauspielhaus Zürich – the "Pfauentheater" – the foyer was also expanded and redesigned. A new basement on the one hand and the addition of a story on the other resulted in a new building with mushroom-headed reinforced concrete ceilings supported by steel columns. No major structural changes were possible in the stairwell area. Mirrors on the opposite walls of the ground floor and the gallery visually expand the space and create surprising perspectives.
