The butter factory is located on a site with several dairy facilities that have been built there since the early 1960s. At the time of the first construction phase, prefabricated concrete elements were a groundbreaking technological innovation. Since the facades of the new building were to match the existing structures, concrete elements are again being used for large sections of the facade, but in combination with a lightweight steel structure. The roof level is suspended from four external steel truss girders.
