A musician couple and a family of sculptors, who were friends, had purchased two adjacent plots of land on a slope of the moraine ridge that runs along the eastern side of the Glonn Valley. They wanted to plan and build their houses together. The development plan, in whose creation the architects participated, envisioned gable-roofed houses with their roof ridges parallel to the slope. Only the last house, at the northern end of the small development, was to be oriented perpendicular to the slope, as a concluding gesture.
