»Forum Des Halles De Paris«

Within the highly complex development of the Hallen district in Paris, the "Forum de l'Hallen" occupies a special place for two reasons: Firstly, the urban development plan already stipulates the route between Place des Vosges - Marais - Beaubourg - Forum-Les Holies - Palais Royal; secondly, an RER station of the new Parisian rapid transit system was built beneath the area of the demolished halls, also within the framework of the urban development plan. At a depth of 32 metres and with a platform length of 360 metres, it is the largest underground station in Europe, transporting approximately one million passengers daily. Financial considerations had a significant influence on the planning.
