Vocational School Centre North in Bersenbrück
The school complex is located in a school district on the outskirts of Bersenbrück, adjacent to an existing secondary school and surrounded by agricultural land. The building site is a flood plain of the Hase River; beneath an approximately 7-metre-thick layer of sand lie compressible silt and peat layers. Six months before construction began, the ground was pre-loaded with a 2-metre-thick layer of sand, corresponding to the future building loads.
