This house was built on a nearly square corner plot of approximately 1200 m² in a prominent location. To integrate the building harmoniously into the landscape and to screen the open spaces around the house from the outside, a brick wall approximately 1.5 m high was constructed on the northwest side facing the street. This wall was then backfilled with embankment-like material and planted with grass. The slope of the embankment is visually continued in the gently sloping hipped roof of the house.
