Vocational Training Centre for Optometry, Munich
The vocational training centre is situated in a green zone between a densely built, block-like urban district and the train station area, which is occupied by government offices, commercial establishments, and schools. The building's exterior forms reflect the diagonal pedestrian connections between the two districts while simultaneously fulfilling internal organizational requirements. The vocational training centre is organizationally comprised of two independent institutions: the Academy of Optometry and the Vocational School of Optometry. However, some facilities are shared. This is also reflected in the external design and the building's overall concept.
