The location on a wooded hillside suggested the design of low-rise apartment blocks with external staircases. The residents primarily desired smaller apartments, and each of the eight buildings typically contains two three-room apartments and four two-room apartments. A common room, sauna, and laundry facilities are centrally located, adjacent to the access path. The buildings are staggered in plan and height, allowing the apartments to open up to different directions.
