On a relatively cramped, irregularly shaped plot of land, limited by neighboring buildings, an extension was to be added to the south of the neo-Gothic postal giro office building on Sonnenstraße in Munich as the first construction phase. This extension was intended to house the operational functions of the bank within the postal giro service. The customer service areas and administration remained in the original building.
