Studio House near Hanover

This studio house, belonging to a graphic artist and painter, is situated on a hill in the village of Lüdersen, near Hanover, at the transition between the North German Plain and the Weser Uplands. It was built on a double plot of land with a pond, approximately 40 metres east of the existing house and shielded from it by a group of mature trees. The studio house, which can also be used as a residence, is conceived as a continuum of open spaces that flow seamlessly into one another, both vertically and horizontally.
