The Senne I development area, belonging to Bielefeld, is heathland with scattered pine trees, to which the residential buildings blend seamlessly. Within this landscape, the parish church of the Resurrection of Christ and the parish hall with rectory are positioned as two closed rectangular blocks, without any separation from the surrounding area. An outdoor space is created solely by the arrangement of the two structures. Sixteen brick columns define this open space as a "paradise," which has become the community's gathering place. The yellow brick and the brick-like proportions of the building blocks visually integrate the complex into the heathland character of the landscape.
