Children's Home in Rheine
The existing children's home is located on the northwestern edge of Rheine in a residential area. A relatively small area in the northern part of the property was available for the extension, necessitating a compact building design. Access to the main building is from Unlandstraße via a central stairwell, which divides the children's home into two staggered halves, each with half a story. This design also adapts the building to the steep slope of the terrain, which descends to a lake to the west.
