The building is divided into five large, individual pavilions, corresponding to the floor plan concept and the differences in elevation. These pavilions feature shallow hipped roofs with steel structures and skylights at the ridge. Each pavilion has its own function: painting, sculpture, graphic arts, a library, and a large multi-purpose hall. These are closely interconnected, grouped into L-shaped blocks by small lecture halls and ancillary rooms. Between the library and the semicircular administration wing lies a courtyard with one of the old oak trees.
