Health Centre in Karlsruhe
The site's excellent urban location—visible from afar and from all sides at the "Kühler Kruge" exit of the "Südtangente" bypass—dictated a dominant building form that, however, is not oriented in any one direction. The triangle as the basic element and the hexagon as the floor plan practically suggested itself, because the hexagon combines the variability of free-form design with the possibility of a strict grid system.
