Bogenhausen, one of Munich's most desirable residential areas, has been repeatedly threatened in recent years by the construction of office towers and the noise pollution from the Mittlerer Ring (Middle Ring Road). The property is situated between four-storey residential buildings from the 1950s, in the immediate vicinity of the new Hypo Bank headquarters and the Mittlerer Ring. The corridors created by the rows of buildings would have resulted in very high levels of noise pollution. The courtyards created here form quiet zones, transforming the new residential development (55 apartments, ranging in size from approximately 90 m² to 240 m²) into a tranquil oasis.
