Semi-Detached Houses in Bochum-Stiepel
The 1078 sq m plot of land is located on the outskirts of the city, near a greenbelt. An initial attempt to build five terraced houses on this plot was rejected by the city on the grounds of "failure to conform to the architectural style of the existing neighboring buildings"; however, permission was granted for a detached or semi-detached house. Two prospective homeowners who wanted to build together agreed to a diagonal division of the plot. This allows both halves of the house to benefit from the favorable southwest orientation.
