Observation Pavilion in a Wild Bird Reserve, Arundel/England
A visitor centre, including exhibition and teaching rooms, has been built for an animal welfare authority within a wild bird sanctuary. The authority's mission is to create ideal living conditions for wild birds in a protected reserve, in order to preserve and care for these rare species. The site for the bird observatory lies in flat, wet meadows directly adjacent to a lake whose water level can rise by up to 60 cm, and is set against a backdrop of forest. Arundel Castle is located nearby.
