School Building in Svenstrup/DK

The school was built in conjunction with a new community centre for the rapidly growing town of Svenstrup near Alborg. This centre, in addition to the school, will house municipal facilities such as town hall offices, kindergartens, sports facilities, and an indoor swimming pool. The layout of the complex was designed to preserve the village-like, rural character of the area. The spacious, low-lying complex is subdivided into numerous small school units. Four freestanding, square pavilions house the classrooms, arranged around central break rooms covered by pyramidal roofs with skylights, which can be expanded as needed.
