The new headquarters of the Central Electricity Company (CE.G.B.) for the Southwest region was built on a 6.4-hectare site approximately 5 km southwest of Bristol city centre, adjacent to a new residential area. Its location on a ridge makes it visible from all sides and accentuates the surrounding landscape. The 24,000 m² of usable space provided 1,200 jobs in offices, laboratories, workshops, communications departments, and a computer department. Social facilities and parking for 770 cars complete the complex.
