Library of the Polytechnic in Portsmouth
The Polytechnic Library building is the first phase of a comprehensive plan for Portsmouth Polytechnic. The overall construction program includes lecture hall buildings for the humanities, social sciences, and economics, as well as other disciplines yet to be determined; a community complex with a multi-purpose hall, theatre, cafeteria, sports facilities, and residential buildings; and the library, which will be built in two phases. The entire project is expected to take 5 to 10 years to complete. The library was the first phase of construction.
