VBB Administration Building in Munich
The office and residential building of the Association of Bavarian Construction Companies (Verband Baugewerblicher Unternehmer Bayerns e.V.) is located on a corner plot of Bavariaring at Theresienwiese in Munich. The surrounding detached buildings, characteristic of this district and dating from the 19th century, significantly influenced the building's mass and layout. The trapezoidal floor plan follows the building lines along the street. The fixed eaves height determined the number of stories. The basement, ground floor, and first floor house offices, meeting and conference rooms, a library, and the rental space of a bank branch. The second floor and the attic contain apartments of various sizes, with the attic apartments being maisonettes featuring adjoining roof terraces.
