Town Hall Extension in Burgkunstadt
To revitalize the old town centre with its historic buildings, it was decided not to build the necessary new town hall on a greenfield site, but rather to add it as an extension to the old town hall, which dominates the city skyline. The new construction went hand in hand with a complete renovation of the old building, a timber-framed structure erected in 1690 by the Franconian master carpenter Jörg Hoffmann on a late medieval stone foundation.
