Residential Area in Lekkerkerk/Holland
A social housing complex was to be built on the narrow site of a former rope yard. The municipality had to acquire the land at a relatively high cost. The given conditions (plot shape and costs) significantly influenced the planning. A seamless connection to the surrounding development was sought: two-storey apartment buildings with roof pitches between 45° and 60°. Access was not provided lengthwise, but rather via east-west connections leading from the external access road to small parking areas, each with approximately 18 parking spaces near the apartments.
