Village Community Centre in Vlist/Holland
The community centre of the village of Vliet, situated directly on the Vliet River, primarily serves for events, consultations, and healthcare. It has its own forecourt on the street side, where the bus stop is also located. The building covers 300 m² with a volume of 1300 m³. It is situated roughly in the centre of the small village, which is characterized by low-rise buildings. The location directly between the road and the river, which is crossed by a nearby footbridge, dictated the building's structure and varying levels, which are organized according to its different uses. The remaining, lower rooms are attached parallel to the taller assembly hall with its small foyer.
