The house, built in a typical Canadian timber frame construction with redwood shingle cladding, is designed for two people and features a spacious floor plan. It is divided into two prism-shaped structures with sloping, almost ground-level shed roofs. On one gable end, the double staircase projects outwards like a bay window, allowing light to enter the stairwell along its entire height. A similar bay window with side lighting is located on the opposite gable end; the main thoroughfare runs between these structures on both the ground and upper floors. The rooms on the upper floor receive additional light through angled skylights beneath the shed roof ridge.
