Property + Product: Office and Commercial Building "Bikini-Berlin" in Berlin

Evoking emotions is becoming increasingly important in real estate marketing. Buildings and urban development areas are now routinely given names that reflect their respective concepts, defining their location and conveying their underlying idea as effectively as possible. For example, "Bikini Berlin," part of the recently completed revitalization of the "Zentrum am Zoo," directly references the office and commercial building from the 1950s popularly known as the "Bikini House." Then, as now, this building forms the centerpiece of the complex between the Zoological Garden and the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church in the heart of Berlin's former City West. With a concept that aims to move beyond the monotony of conventional shopping malls and cleverly combine shopping, working, and leisure, the project seeks to create a new attraction for an international, urban, and discerning clientele.
